c'mon, are we really that cynical? I'm not sure the western/white/christian death toll from the 'flu is all that high (as opposed to those oriental types who appear to have died from it). And if it does become a pandemic, I bet it kills a whole lot more poor people than those western types.

yeah, fair point. Most of the people who have died from bird flu have been asian.
