The Beard

I know that beards are controversial. People seem to love them or hate them. Here are my reasons to keep the Beard, at least for a while:
  1. I didn't grow one during the past 2 years when I was in England
  2. It adds and extra layer of warmth during the Canadian winter
  3. It requires less shaving

See, that's much better. It's very important to trim the thing. :-P

True, you might not have grown a beard while you were in England, but like myself and Martin, you went long periods without shaving. Those periods where you weren't trying to grow a beard, but weren't shaving either. Kinda that lazy in-between can't be arsed time. Till it got to the stage where the greasy feeling on your face got too much and it all went.

incidentially, do you use the word 'arsed' in north america? I guess if you did, it would be assed.

First I would like to point out that along with a beard comes wisdom and prestige... think I'm wrong?? how about these guys; Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Karl Marx, Jesus, Ernest Hemingway, Jim Morrison, Zeus, John Lennon, God (this is not confirmed), ZZ Top, Brian Howell, David Suzuki, ... to name a few.

I would now like to contrast that list with people who did/do not have beards: Gerogre W. Bush (need I say more), Hitler, Stephen Harper, Vin Diesel
